About the procedure

Why choose us for arm plastic surgery?

At our clinic, you’ll find some of the best specialists in brachioplasty and carpal surgery in the Czech Republic. We place great emphasis on the aesthetic result and on minimising scarring, so that you won’t have to worry about how to get rid of scars after the procedure.

No more sagging skin
: The procedure effectively removes sagging skin that cannot be eliminated even through intensive exercise or dieting.

Health benefits
: Brachioplasty eliminates skin folds that prevent proper hygiene and can cause inflammatory skin conditions and infections.

Toning and slimming of the arms
The procedure perfectly contours problem areas, creating overall harmony in your figure and boosting your self-confidence with a long-lasting aesthetic effect.

Long-term results
Provided you maintain a stable weight, the results will last for many years. This means the procedure will not need to be repeated for a long time, and you can enjoy the results.

Option to combine with liposuction
: For optimal results, the procedure can be combined with the removal of excess fatty tissue using vibration-assisted liposuction or another form of liposuction for comprehensive arm remodelling.

Discreet scar placement and rapid healing
We make the incisions on the inside of the arms to ensure they are as inconspicuous as possible. We use drains to promote faster healing and minimise inflammation during the first 24 hours.

The procedure

Arm lift surgery is a procedure carried out under general anaesthesia, requiring a one-day hospital stay to ensure maximum safety and comfort.

Pre-operative preparation – During the consultation, the plastic surgeon will assess the condition of the skin on your arms and the extent of excess skin, and will propose the best course of action, including a possible combination with liposuction to achieve the perfect result.

General anaesthesia – The procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia to ensure complete comfort throughout the operation. It lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Incision placement – The incisions are made lengthwise on the inner side of the arms, from the armpit to the inner elbow, to ensure the scars are barely visible when wearing everyday clothing.

Tissue removal – Excess sagging skin and, where necessary, excess fatty tissue are removed according to individual needs to achieve slender arms.

Placement of drains – Drains are inserted into the operated area to ensure better drainage of blood and tissue fluid within 24 hours, promoting faster healing.

Closure and dressing – The treated area is disinfected, covered with sterile gauze and an elastic bandage is applied. All stitches are absorbable and do not need to be removed.

Hospitalisation – The procedure is followed by a one-day hospital stay, with the drains being removed the following day and the patient subsequently discharged with detailed instructions for aftercare at home.

Recovery following a brachioplasty

Recovery following arm lift surgery requires adherence to strict guidelines in order to achieve the best possible result and minimise complications.

The first few days after surgery – The treated areas may experience mild pain, swelling, bruising or temporary loss of sensation, which is a normal reaction to the procedure.

Rest – For the first 1–2 days, it is essential to lie down and rest; a gradual return to light activities is possible during the first week after the operation.

Compression garments – Wearing a compression bandage or special sleeve is required for approximately one month, except during personal hygiene, to support proper healing.

Return to work – You can return to office work after just 7 days, but you must avoid heavy physical exertion for 4–6 weeks.

Scar care – After 14 days, gentle pressure massage and the application of high-quality moisturising creams are recommended to minimise the visibility of scars.

Follow-up appointments – The procedure is followed by regular check-ups to monitor healing and detect any complications at an early stage. The first check-up takes place within a week of the operation.

Long-term results – The scars will gradually fade, and the final result will last for many years provided you maintain a stable weight and a healthy lifestyle.

How much does a brachioplasty cost?

The price of the procedure depends on the extent of the treatment and whether it is combined with liposuction or injectable lipolysis. We also offer the option of paying for the entire procedure in instalments, tailored to your financial circumstances.

Who is a suitable candidate for a brachioplasty, and when should it be carried out?

Brachioplasty is suitable for people with sagging skin on their arms following significant weight loss, as a result of ageing or genetic predisposition, which cannot be improved through exercise.

The ideal time for the procedure is once your weight has stabilised and all major life changes have been completed. The procedure requires a healthy patient who is able to tolerate general anaesthesia.

Will the scar from the arm surgery still be visible when wearing a vest?

The incisions are carefully made on the inside of the arms, from the armpit to the elbow, which minimises their visibility when wearing everyday clothing, including vests.

The scars will gradually fade and become less noticeable over time. How visible they ultimately are depends on individual healing and scar care.

What is the difference between a brachioplasty and arm liposuction?

Liposuction removes only excess fatty tissue and is suitable for patients with sufficiently elastic skin.

Brachioplasty is used to remove sagging skin and addresses situations where the skin has lost its elasticity. The two procedures are often combined to achieve the best possible result.

Is it possible to lose sensation in the arms following the procedure?

Temporary loss of or reduced sensation in the arms is a normal post-operative reaction, which usually resolves within a few weeks to months.

Permanent loss of sensation is a rare complication. Sensation gradually returns during recovery.
